Bike Safety Obstacle Course to demonstrate bike safety cones, road blocks, traffic signs/ stop lights (cardboard), flags, pretend pedestrians/ bikers
Fire Extinguisher Experiment Experiment to demonstrate fire and how to extinguish it Short candle, Slightly longer candle, Baking soda, Vinegar, A cardboard paper towel tube, A small dish, A large bowl
First Aid Safety Identify the items in a first aid kit and there uses. A number of First Aid Kits and a variety of other materials to use in the lesson (these will be used as fillers for one of the activities)
Safety Stickers/Poster Design poster with fire safety messages 3 in. (8cm.) circle template or poster board, White construction paper (for stickers, Crayons and/or markers, Double-sided tape, Laminating materials
Send a Postcard to Promote Safety Create a postcard to illustrate a safety message and send it to a loved one. One 4" x 6" white flashcard per student,  crayons,/colored pencils,/markers, pens /pencils, stamp
Stop Drop and Roll Design posters to illustrate Stop, Drop and Roll poster board, markers
