Legislative Information

VDFP tracks legislation pertinent to the fire and emergency services community at the state and federal level; acts as legislative liaison between the Fire and EMS community ; provides legislative summaries as well as legislative tracking.

During the Virginia General Assembly Session, VDFP monitors legislations impacting Virginia’s fire and emergency services and provides a weekly tracking report. Upon conclusion of each Session, VDFP publishes a final tracking report.

Using the Legislative Information System, you can track legislation and review committee agendas prior to a meeting. You can even testify before committees on issues important to you.
