2011 Instructor In-service now available
The Virginia Department of Fire Programs 2011 Instructor In-service modules are now available on the VDFP Knowledge Center. It is the policy of the VDFP to offer a mandatory update of the operational policies and procedures to all Fire Service Part-time Instructors (traditionally recognized as “Adjunct Instructors”) once every two years.
This year, the training will consist of two modules to meet the minimum requirements as a condition on employment for all Part-time instructors that attended the 2009 Instructor In-service or were hired in 2010. The first module is the VDFP 2011 Instructor In-service (50-minute session) followed by a stand-alone module offered through the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management – VHDRM – HR Policy – Preventing Workplace Harassment (30-minute session). VDFP Part-time Instructors must complete the on-line training by Close of Business December 16, 2011. Local approved non-compensated instructors are welcome to view the above modules, but the modules are not mandatory.
