Virginia to Honor 12 Fallen Heroes at 28th Annual Firefighter & EMS Memorial Service

The Memorial Service, held in honor of the Virginia Line of Duty Act, pays tribute to the bravery, dedication and ultimate sacrifice of Virginia’s fallen fire and EMS professionals.

RICHMOND, VA — The 28th Annual Virginia Fallen Firefighters & EMS Memorial Service will take place at noon on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Richmond International Raceway Complex, Main Exhibition Hall. This solemn ceremony will honor 12 brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the commonwealth.

The Memorial Service, held in accordance with the Virginia Line of Duty Act, recognizes the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of Virginia’s fallen fire and EMS personnel. The event will feature honor guards, a keynote address, musical tributes, and a statewide apparatus display.

This annual tribute ensures that Virginia’s fallen heroes are remembered and celebrated for their service and sacrifice.
