For about 40 years Lee Day has served in various capacities within Virginia’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services. For the past 32 years he has been an adjunct instructor at Virginia Department of Fire Programs, teaching various fire service topics from basic and advanced firefighter training, hazardous materials, and fire officer training. During his career, Mr. Day served as Battalion Chief and Fire Captain in Lynchburg Fire Department, as Deputy Chief in Bedford County Department of Fire and Rescue and most recently, retired as Deputy Director of Amherst County Department of Public Safety in 2013.
